Ten minutes from downtown Victoria, View Royal?s central location also provides good highway access to the Western Communities and to the Saanich Peninsula, including BC Ferries and the Victoria International Airport.Regular We are seeking an accomplished and passionate leader to join our dynamic, fun, friendly, and dedicated team as the Director of Finance. Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position is responsible for the statutory financial officer duties under Section 149 of the Community Charter. The Director of Finance manages the Finance Department consisting of five employees and is responsible for the overall operation of the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, investing, revenue collections, property taxation, payroll, expenditure control and information technology functions of the municipality. This high-profile role requires a professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with Council, a wide variety of internal customers, members of the community and government agencies.
