*Job Summary*
Park Lane Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. Working at our busy Service Centre, the right candidate for this role will be extremely well organized, computer literate, and ready to work on customer and retail vehicles that are brought into the repair shop with mechanical or other vehicle related concerns. Fantastic at communicating with customer and employees alike, you will be responsible for providing thorough documentation and explanation of the vehicle?s diagnosis, recommended repairs, and completed work as we aim to continually provide the transparent, trustworthy service our clientele has grown accustomed to over the years.
*Responsibilities*
* Performing vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on RO with efficiency and accuracy, performing all duties in accordance with dealership and OEM standards
* Communicating with Parts and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production/repairs, cycle times and customer communication
* Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for repairs while ensuring the safety and reliability of any vehicle that has been repaired prior to them being returned to the customer
* Document all work performed on the vehicle RO by creating a story in the on the associated repair order, in a manner consistent with OEM standards, ensuring payment of warranty work is provided by the manufacturer
* Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician?s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as a ?store-provided? piece of equipment
* Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as required
* Providing an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue
*Requirements*
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
- Red Seal Certification
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot automotive systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (up to 75 pounds).
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive technology is preferred.
