*Summary*
Docap Distribution is a growing multi-site wholesaler of industrial, automotive and electrical products throughout Canada. The business procures high quality product from around the world through a diversified network of supplier partners. The Company is presently looking to expand its success in Ontario and is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative. The position will oversee an assigned sales territory with the need for growth. The ideal person for this role is someone who is a builder and a self-starter, has the ability to work autonomously, is not satisfied with the status quo, is highly organized, uses information technology to his/her advantage, and is a strong team player. The position will be spent primarily on the road managing a West GTA and SW Ontario territory.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
* Build a sales territory ? unsatisfied with the status quo
* Aggressively prospect for new customers and follow leads proactively to their fruition
* Architect and execute strategies towards new business opportunities and penetration of existing accounts
* Be accountable to revenue and gross margin targets, obtained while observing budgeted expenses
* Assess accounts for growth potential, new product ideas and pricing considerations
* Identify and share new business opportunities/ideas with the team
* Maintain excellent knowledge of market trends, products, competitor threats
* Must be highly organized in order to manage many initiatives simultaneously
* Work with a team of professionals to advance the business in its products, tactics and strategy
* Develop strong business relationships through regular customer visits
* Undertake regular presentations with customers
* Represent the company at trade shows and trade meetings, promoting its interests
* Present information in a coherent, professional manner to senior management
* Report sales activity weekly using information technology systems
* Represent the Company in a professional, organized manner at all times
*Qualifications and Skills*
* 5 or more years experience as an outside salesperson
* Basic knowledge of the electrical, industrial, hardware and/or automotive sectors is advantageous
* Experience with wholesale and distribution businesses
* Must be a builder with the ability to architect/execute sales strategies for growth
* An outgoing self-starter who can work autonomously
* Comfortable with accountability and has a results orientation
* Has an understanding of and experience with buying groups
* Demonstrated experience in effective negotiations
* Strong computer literacy required
* Must have a suitable vehicle, valid driver?s license, and a strong driving record

* Competitive compensation ($50,000 range plus commission $15-$20,000 range)
