<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We seek a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to improve and advance existing products and develop new industrial equipment for manufacturing. You will work collaboratively with and be supported by a wide group of stakeholders and team members, including the project sponsor, fabricators, component suppliers, warehouse and assembly, sales and marketing, and finance.</p><p>You will lead, plan, develop, design, improve, test, execute, and support the fabrication and assembly of various industrial equipment offered to our manufacturing clients. Our current products primarily include material handling equipment such as moving carts and conveyor systems employing pneumatic and hydraulic components.</p><p>You will be a leader in product design and manufacturing projects while providing product support to our sales and marketing teams. This position can grow into technical or managerial career paths in developing and managing the design and manufacturing processes, and leading the team required to accomplish the company goals.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibility Areas:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Mechanical Design and Analysis:</strong> Conduct drawings and design reviews. Perform various simulations including Finite Element Analysis to validate and optimize mechanical designs. Analyze structural performance under various load conditions, including linear and non-linear material and behaviors. Develop and refine mechanical designs with a deep understanding of mechanics, safety, durability, ergonomics, and functionalities. Create detailed 2D and 3D models.</li><li><strong>Fabrication:</strong> Understand requirements and produce fabrication drawings and procedures with suitable tolerances. Apply best practices in fabrication (mostly steel and other metal) to ensure designs are both manufacturable and compliant with industry standards. Collaborate with fabricators to ensure precision and quality in the final product.</li><li><strong>Project Management:</strong> Lead projects from concept through to fabrication, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines. Generate and maintain manufacturing drawings using change orders and version control. Manage product and projects with PDM software.</li><li><strong>Compliance & Standards:</strong> Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements. Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including analysis reports, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications. Provide clear communication to all stakeholders, including clients, fabricators, and internal teams.</li><li><strong>Teamwork:</strong> Work across the company and with external vendors and providers to carry out all design, component sourcing, fabrication, maintenance, product documentations, sales and marketing needs.</li><li><strong>Leadership:</strong> Bring new thoughts, ideas, revisions, and improvements. Lead other team members on design and manufacturing processes and best practices. Advise on new opportunities, tools, equipment, and organization, benefiting future designs and validations of new products. These may include software tools, 3D printers, engravers, and trainings.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Educational Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor or Master of Engineering.</li><li>Professional Engineer designation is preferred.</li><li>5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and metal fabrication, with a full ability to perform design, product modeling and simulations including FEA.</li><li>High proficiency in design, modeling and validation, and process using SolidWorks Pro/Simulation Pro/PDM and AutoCAD CAD; prefer motion studies experience.</li><li>Strong understa
