Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Estimate costs and materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Initiative. Team player. Screening questions: Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Does not require Canadian work experience.
