NUNAVIK SIVUNITSAVUT</b></p><p><b>STATUS: </b><b>FULL-TIME REGULAR</b></p><p><b>START DATE: </b><b>OCTOBER 2024</b></p><p><b><i>Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.</i></b></p><p><b>FUNCTION & DUTIES:</b></p><p>Under the supervision of Coordinator of the Nunavik Sivunitsavut (NS) Program, the Education Consultant will:</p><ul><li>Oversee curriculum development for the proposed French Nunavik Sivunitsavut certificate program;</li><li>Find French resources and teaching material for NS courses in French.</li><li>Research French Cégep requirements and special accreditation conditions.</li><li>Work with Supervisor to identify the best suited CEGEP for accreditation;</li><li>Seek, select, and prepare qualified instructors to implement the new program;</li><li>Recruit qualified students;</li><li>Seek funding for future implementation phases from various sources and potential partners;</li><li>Any other tasks deemed relevant and necessary by the Director or coordinator of Student Services.</li></ul><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><p>University Bachelor?s degree in education, administration, social sciences, or related fields.</p><p> <i>The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.<b></b></i></p><p><b> </b><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><ul><li>Fluency in French and a second language (either English or Inuktitut). Three languages considered an asset;</li><li>Visit Nunavik Sivunitsavut to understand and observe existing program;</li><li>Must be able to travel to Nunavik;</li><li>Must be willing to work independently and be in regularly communication with various organizations and partners.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:</b></p><p>In accordance with the SPPENOM collective agreement for professionals. This position belongs to job category 2104: from $49,456 to $92,027 annually depending on qualification and experience.
