HEATING & VENTILATION<p>TECHNICIAN <p>(Plumber with Gasfitters<p>Certificate Class B) The Burnaby School District is<p>recruiting for FULL-TIME Heating and<p>Ventilation Technicians. This position<p>services, upgrades, installs, repairs and inspects heating and ventilation<p>equipment.A variety of pipefitting duties,<p>including inspecting and cleaning boilers, roof top ventilation units, forced<p>air units, cooling plants and associated equipment as well as calibrate and<p>repair pneumatic and electronic controls and thermostats, including DDC systems<p>are also pivotal functions of this position. <p>This position works with computer software (programming and scheduling)<p>for automated heating and ventilating systems as required.Required<p>Qualifications & Experience: <p> <p>Completion<p>of Grade 12<p> <p>Trades<p>Qualification (TQ) in Steam fitting/Pipefitting/Plumbing trade or a TQ in a<p>relevant trade<p> <p>Restricted<p>electrical ticket<p> <p>Gasfitters<p>Certificate (Class B) [Class A is preferred]<p> <p>Four years related work<p>experience as a Journeyman in Heating & Ventilation service coupled with<p>boiler maintenance and DDC/building automation experience is required <p> <p>Valid<p>B.C. Drivers License (Class 5)<p> Extensive knowledge of current techniques, methods, procedures and equipment applicable to the Heating and Ventilation trade, plus knowledge of computerized control software and equipment is required <p>We<p>are looking for a self-starter with an ability to organize daily tasks, work<p>independently and as a member of a team.
