JM Wellness Kids Inc. is excited to share we are expanding our team and looking to add an additional Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
* *Assessment and Evaluation:*
* Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social abilities.
* Identify clients' goals, needs, and potential barriers to daily activities.
* *Treatment Planning:*
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
* Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to establish realistic and meaningful goals.
* *Intervention:*
* Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve clients' functional abilities.
* Provide training and education to clients and their families on adaptive strategies, equipment use, and lifestyle modifications.
* *Adaptive Equipment and Assistive Technology:*
* Recommend and prescribe adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance clients' independence in daily activities.
* *Environmental Modifications:*
* Assess and recommend modifications to home, work, or school environments to optimize clients' ability to perform daily tasks.
* *Documentation and Reporting:*
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress.
* Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
* *Client Advocacy:*
* Advocate for clients' needs and rights, promoting inclusion and accessibility in various settings.
* *Continuing Education:*
* Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in occupational therapy.
* Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
* *Collaboration:*
* Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers.
* *Ethics and Professionalism:*
* Adhere to ethical standards and maintain a high level of professionalism in interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* State licensure or certification as required.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Compassion, empathy, and patience in working with diverse populations.
* Ability to adapt to various healthcare settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and community settings.
Occupational Therapists play a vital role in facilitating individuals' independence and improving their overall well-being. They contribute to creating environments that support individuals in leading fulfilling lives despite physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 ? 15 per week
