Friday, 9am ? 5pm with flexibility <br>Contract duration: starting ASAP, ending January 31, 2025<br>Salary: $86,000 (annual) <br><br>Submit Resume to: ramya.rengaraman@homesfirst.on.ca<p><strong><br>APPLICANTS MUST QUOTE ?CAM-24"</strong></p><p></p><p>This position accomplishes Homes First Society objectives by assisting the Manager with the day-to-day aspects of the 24-hour housing programs. The role maintains community partnerships and oversees client services to ensure high quality supports and programming. In addition, this role will adhere to the mission statement, policies, and procedures at Homes First Society.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Essential Job Results:</strong></p><ul><li>Works closely with and reports to the Manager, helps oversee the operation of all housing programs with 24-hour staffing. This includes but is not limited to helping select, train and lead all management and union staff; initiating or supporting actions within the rental legislation in Ontario, including representing the organization at the Landlord and Tenant Board; collecting client data and ensuring timely filing of reports to funders, including the use of Toronto Grants, Rebates and Incentives Portal (TGRIP); and meeting regularly with Coordinated Access and Priority Access to Housing with Supports (PATHS).</li><li>Provides support when necessary to Site Managers in performing tasks and duties; ensuring related staff training is completed. Prioritizing and assigning responsibilities and duties to team members; and communicating job expectations.</li><li>Helps maintain positive relationships with relevant community, health, and government partners, including scheduling and attending meetings; providing support with partnership development, training; and attending stakeholders/city-wide development meetings.</li><li>Represents Homes First at future workshops, groups, etc.</li><li>Monitors and adheres to legislative requirements, such as the rental legislation in Ontario, Collective Agreement, Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Act and Homes First?s policies and procedures.</li><li>Supports with data collection, evaluation, and development.</li><li>Prepares and submits reports by required dates.</li><li>Maintains both external and internal confidentiality.</li><li>Attends regular team meetings and subsequently provides supports related to decision making/case planning.</li><li>Supports Site Managers with the supervision of a unionized workforce and ensures that all staff work is within the context of the Collective Agreement.</li><li>Orients team members as needed.</li><li>May be required to work outside of regular hours.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>A degree in a relevant discipline equivalent to an undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of social work/social services.</li><li>At least three years? experience working in community-based settings with homeless and marginalized individuals, including people who use illicit drugs.</li><li>At least two years? experience in a leadership role in a unionized environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to problem solve and provide support, including the ability to develop systemic solutions to how new and existing work is completed.</li><li>Familiarity with facilitating trainings/groups.</li><li>Knowledge of the Ontario Employment Standards Act.</li><li>Knowledge of relevant housing legislation including the rental legislation in Ontario (Residential Tenancies Act, Rental Fairness Act, e
