Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. has partnered with Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment (GDI T&E) to hire an Apprentice through the Indigenous Apprenticeship Program. The following recognized trade will be supported: Welder-As part of the Maintenance Department, the Welder works as a member of the team to maintain and fabricate site equipment so that the mill operates in an efficient and safe mechanical condition. The welder will have the ability to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions. Qualifications: Must be qualified to indenture with Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification CommissionMust be eligible for GDITI&Es Indigenous Apprentice ProgramMust have a valid drivers licenseMust reside in SaskatchewanStrong mechanical aptitudeHighly motivated and able to work independently Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and temperaturesComfortable working at heights and in confined spacesManual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time This is a boundless and stimulating opportunity within a rewarding team environment for individuals who are energetic and eager to enhance their skills.
