\*Job Summary\* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. \*Responsibilities\* - Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. - Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures. - Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. - Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical histories. - Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia administration and post-operative care. - Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of all procedures. - Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. - Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of surgical instruments. \*Qualifications\* - Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience is preferred. - Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) is highly desirable. - Experience in laboratory procedures is a plus. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both animals and their owners. - Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. - A compassionate attitude towards animal care and welfare. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed. Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
