Job details
Nature's Nest Preschool is a privately owned and operated Childcare Centre licensed by the Ministry of Education.
At this time we are only seeking Registered Early Childhood Educators or professionals with 5+ years of experience in the early childhood sector.
Both of our locations are seeking *1 *
All RECE in good standing will receive a sign-on bonus.
We do not have access to the Wage Enhancement Incentive.
Duties:
* Positively directing and participating with children in planned activities and related discipline
* Happily assisting the Child Care Cook in housekeeping and laundry duties
* Collaboratively maintaining a clean and orderly environment that reflects the respect of our space and the children?s environment
* Willingly engaging and interacting with colleagues and families in a respectful, positive, and transparent manner
* Willingly performing and engaging in other related duties as they may be assigned by the Supervisor
* Being reliable, showing initiative, and a high level of motivation
* Providing a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment showing sensitivity to the individual needs of children in all aspects of their development
* Making meaningful observations/documentation of children for daily overall health/developmental, and ongoing observations for signs of potential learning or behavioral concerns
* Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discussing progress and/or concerns with other staff members and the Supervisor
* The ability to implement the four foundations of ?How Does Learning Happen?? through observations, reflections, documentations, and curriculum planning
* The ability to engage each child individually everyday, and will make every effort to greet every parent, guardian, and caregiver
* Instilling a love of nature and the outdoors in the children
Skills:
* Strong organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities and materials
* Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth daily routines and transitions
* Proficiency in computer operation for documentation and record keeping purposes
* Ability to write reports, lesson plans, and other necessary documents
* Knowledge of computerized learning tools and resources for educational purposes
* Leadership skills to guide and motivate children in their learning journey

Pay: $23.86-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
