The *Sales Manager ? Corporate Sales* position is a dynamic role focused on developing and managing corporate client relationships for both individual and group travel. The successful candidate will be a crucial member of the team, supporting the leadership in day-to-day sales activities while concentrating on building long-term, value-based customer relationships. These efforts are aimed at achieving the set sales objectives. The role demands close collaboration with the sales team and direct engagement with the Director of Sales to meet the targets established by the General Manager and executive leadership.
*As Sales Manager - Corporate Sales, you?ll get to: *
*Build Successful Relationships that Generate Sales Opportunities*
· Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complimentary, and not duplicative.
· Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include participating on sales calls, entertainment,
FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
· Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
· Assist with managing and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
· Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management
*Manage Sales Activity*
· Participate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
· Support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
*Use Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue*
· Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals
· Understand the overall market ? competitors? strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
· Gain understanding of the hotel?s primary target customers and service expectations; serving the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution
*Assist in Managing Meetings and Special Events Operations and Budgets *
· Research and analyze new products, pricing, and services of competition
· Assist in apprising property of all groups that will impact property operations
· Assist in execution of event management strategy that is aligned with the company?s business strategy and leads its execution
· Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to help ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
*What we are looking for:*
· Motivated by sourcing new opportunities in all market segments as well as playing an active role in facilitating the sales process.
· Positive, enthusiastic and results focused individual who enjoys working with many different people and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
· A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field as well as 1 ? 3 years? experience in sales or marketing, preferably in a hospitality setting.
· Previous experience in a Marriott brand is an asset.
· This position requires access to a reliable vehicle and will travel occasionally.
