*Job Title: *Community Health Nurse
*Salary: *$44.85 - $51.50 per hour
*Contract:* Fulltime, Permanent
*Hours:* Mon ? Fri (35 hrs)
*Location:* Ladysmith, BC
*About The Role*
Reporting to the Health Manager, the Community Health Nurse (CHN) works closely leads the Community Health Team and others to promote holistic community wellness, protect health, prevent injury and illness and to support and assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of community health services and programs. As a member of the SFN Health Team, the CHN focusses on preventive health strategies to promote the health and well-being of individuals, the family and community by; assessing development, health, and determining risk factors; providing counselling, evaluation, health education and follow-up; promoting communicable disease control in the general population; developing partnerships to provide professional collaboration and consultation; assisting in the development of policies and action plans in the community; and acting as a health advocate.
*Qualifications*
* Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with 3 years? experience in Community Health Nursing
* Current registration (RN) as a member in good standing with the Registered Nurses Association of BC (RNABC)
* Current CPR and First Aid Certification
* A successful Criminal Record Check is mandatory
* Knowledge of the Stz?uminus First Nation community, culture and language is an asset.
