Upper Canada Child Care is recruiting for a *Permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk* to work at our *Head Office* in Markham, ON.
This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position.
*Annual Salary: *$47,051-$57,506 plus full-time benefit package (including dental, health and travel insurance), paid personal days plus paid vacation time.

*POSITION SUMMARY *
Ensures fees are processed and collected in a timely, accurate manner, and invoices are generated and provided to customers. Provides assistance to Manager Accounts Receivable as required. Supports the organization?s vision, mission, and guiding values. This is a fully in-office position.
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Sending activation link to clients for account setup within Accounts Receivable (AR) software.
· Completes child enrolment in AR software.
· Generates and ensures accuracy of invoices and calculates extra billing fees (occasional care, PA days and breaks).
· Verifies payments in AR software for accounting purposes.
· Prepares annual tax receipts for clients.
· Ensures tracking process is updated and consistent.
· Collaborates with supervisors to cross-check centre enrolment.
· Monitors and maintains records of absences and non-payments from Children?s Services and bills.
· Supports Manager Accounts Receivable with fee notices and payment plans.
· Resolves fee issues and inquiries from centres in collaboration with the Manager Accounts Receivable.
· Completes accounts receivable filing and year-end turnover.
· Provides backup support for financial audits and resolves inquiries from auditors as needed with managerial support.
· Carries out tasks associated with the Canada-Wide Early Learning Child Care system (CWELCC).
· Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time.
*QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS *
· Completion of a post-secondary college diploma program; additional accounting courses and/or work experience in accounting as asset.
· More than 1 year of relevant previous experience is required.
· Ability to use computerized accounting packages and AR software. Overall computer proficiency; including Microsoft 365, Intranet, and Dayforce an asset.
· Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and take initiative while working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset; ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional disposition.
