Job details
*Milron *specializes in designing, fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality aluminum service bodies for commercial vehicles. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional products to our customers and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
The *Junior Purchaser *will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and supplies for our facilities
* Fulfill request and process purchase orders
* Issue Purchase Orders and expedite Purchase Orders as required and report changes in delivery schedules.
* Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with suppliers as well as internal and external clients
* Purchase supplies, equipment and inventory resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
* Evaluate and negotiate supplier pricing, production capability, quality, performance, and delivery to meet established service level requirements
* Help foster continuous improvement to the Purchasing function and systems
* Monitor the activities of subordinates and the work area to ensure that proper Purchasing procedures are being followed
* Achieve defined productivity and performance measures on a consistent basis.
* Act as a courteous and friendly central point of contact for both internal and external customers. *Prepare reports to measure performance and results.*
* Schedule shipments and delivery of orders
* Follow up with the product suppliers regarding orders.
* Be familiar with products and services, ensuring an appropriate level of product and service knowledge.
* Ensure product availability and timely delivery schedules for all products and services and maintain a database of approved suppliers.
* Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
*Qualifications and Skills:*
* 1-year of working in parts/logistics and inventory management
* Manufacturing industry experience is an asset
* Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
* Strong proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office suite
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Organizational and logistics skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Problem-solving and data analysis skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
