Job Description: Reporting to Health Director, we are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our team at Eskasoni Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing data and addressing physical records for Eskasoni Health, as well as supporting the Eskasoni Mental Health Crisis Pathways program. This role will play a crucial part in implementing the recommendations outlined in a recent quality improvement report, focusing on improving healthcare services with a particular emphasis on cultural competency and quality improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Be part of the Eskasoni Health team to record and analyze all data from Health programs that include Home and Community Care, Mental Health, Primary Care, Early Years Headstart, Community Health and Medical Transportation.
* Manage and analyze data related to healthcare services, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all health programs under Eskasoni Health
* Address physical records as needed, ensuring efficient organization and accessibility.
* Collaborate with the Mental Health Pathways advisory committee to support the implementation of recommendations aimed at improving healthcare quality and cultural competency.
* Work closely with key contributors and partner groups to gather requirements and provide insights based on data analysis.
* Contribute to the development of quality frameworks and monitoring processes.
* Support the implementation of monitoring and feedback mechanisms.
* Establish and maintain data collection management to ensure consistency and accuracy in data handling.
* Develop and maintain regular reports to track progress and outcomes.
* Engage in ongoing dialogue with community members, particularly from Eskasoni, to ensure their perspectives are considered in data analysis and decision-making processes.
* Collaborate with other team members to celebrate successes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics).
* Proven experience in data analysis and management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and data visualization to support engagement in improvement conversations.
* Experience with database management systems and data visualization tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
* Knowledge of cultural competency principles and experience working with Indigenous communities is highly desirable.
* Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information required. Demonstrated ability to maintain con?dentiality.
