Responsibilities
Tasks

Assist in environmental audits
-
Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs

Design measures to minimize undesirable environmental effects of mining and oil and gas operations

Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems

Prepare rock, mineral or metal samples

Supervise the preparation of rock, mineral or metal samples

Assist in preparing rock, mineral or metal samples

Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections
