<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>The Motor Winder will work with a small and dedicated team of mechanical professionals. Wind, assemble and install various types of coils. Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Wind, assemble and install various types of coils</li> <li>Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning</li> <li>Read and interpret diagrams</li> <li>Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors</li> <li>Assemble stators or armatures for heavy-duty electric motors</li> <li>Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components</li> <li>Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear</li> <li>Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education</strong>: Trade certification, Electric Motor Systems Technician (EMST) Trade Certification would be an asset.</li> <li><strong>Work Experience</strong>: 5+ years</li> <li><strong>Knowledge:</strong> Weld or braze components; Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams; Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications; Instruct apprentices </li> </ul> <p><strong>The Company</strong></p> <p>Since 1858, Wajax has been a leading industrial products and solutions provider continually innovating to serve Canadian industry coast-to-coast.
