Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Manufacturing and industrial plant. Tasks: Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports. Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Issue work and test permits to electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Operate automated or computerized control systems. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Regulate water levels. Start up and shut down power plant equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Stationary Engineer 3rd Class. Equipment and machinery experience: Compressors. Condensers. Distributed control system (DCS). Heat exchangers. High pressure boilers. Pumps. Turbines. Valves. Water and waste treatment utilities. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?.
