Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Chemical engineering technology/technician. Analytical chemistry. Occupational health and industrial hygiene. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dangerous. Odours. Hot. Dusty. Tasks: Conduct tests and analysis using spectroscopy techniques. Maintain laboratory equipment. Operate laboratory apparatus. Set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses. Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments. Compile records for analytical studies. MS Office. Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards . Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures. Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results. Operate experimental chemical or petrochemical pilot plant. Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis. Conduct safety training programs. Regulatory investigation: Regulatory affairs. Analytical techniques: Sampling. Statistics.
