*Description*
The ideal Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for assisting with HSE projects and to ensure that the projects deliverables are provided on time to the client.
*Technical Skills*
· Active understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and standards.
· Familiar with PIR program, and Certifying Partner Audit Protocols.
· Strong working knowledge and understanding of third-party contractor management registries (ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta, NCMS, PEC Safety, etc.), and pre-qualification experience.
· Understanding of Incident investigation, Disability and WCB claims management.
· Assist with the development of Hazard Assessments and Safe Work Practices and Procedures
· Experience with development of a Safety Management System (SMS)
*Business Skills*
· Possess excellent interpersonal skills. Including the ability to maintain a supporting relationship with clients while delivering services.
· Necessary to have effective organizational and written communication skills.
· Essential to be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
· Experience in thriving in a stressful high demand situations.
· You are self-motivated with effective time management skills.
· Strong communication and presentation skills to conduct safety meetings and training.
· Post-secondary education, HSE certification (e.g OHS Certification) or related experience.
*Accountabilities*
· Proactively provide project deliverables to clients.
· Resolving HSE client issues.
· Development and implementation of health and safety solutions integrated with a clients business needs and existing structure.
· Proactively responds to client HSE information requests promptly and accurately.
· Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel ? predominantly in the Calgary area.
· Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, emergency drills
· Provide clients with guidance and support in meeting or exceeding municipal, provincial or federal regulations and COR requirements.
· Manage and coordinate internal and external training for clients.
· Conduct or assist incident investigations .
· Conduct or assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
