Title : Early Childhood Educator - Supply<p>Position Type : Daily Occasional<p>Position Open To: External Applicants Only<p>Posting Overview: <p>The Early Childhood Educator, under the direction of the Principal, will partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full day early learning program within a classroom setting and provide supervision and age-appropriate programming. The Early Childhood Educator will collaborate in the design of programs and environments which will enhance children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.<p><p>The Lambton Kent District School Board, serves more than 21,000 students in 50 Elementary and 12 Secondary schools across Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent. Prospective qualified Early Childhood Educators, who are able to work on a daily occasional basis are invited to submit their applications.<p>? must be available to work a minimum of 3-5 days/week;<p>? must be available to work 10 months during the school year;<p>? must be willing to travel throughout Chatham-Kent and/or Sarnia-Lambton;<p>? must be available to work on a daily occasional basis;<p>? must be available to work on a last-minute, call-in basis. <p>Qualifications/Experience: <p>? Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma or degree; <p>? Proof of membership with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (Please list your membership number in your application); <p>? Minimum six months recent childcare experience is preferred; <p>? Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated aptitude and competence in working with young individuals in an educational or day-care setting.<p>Other Key Skills & Knowledge: <p>? Implement instructional programs for full-day Early Learning - Kindergarten Program and other Instructional Programs; <p>? Supervise and implement daily routines; <p>? Participate in the development and implementation of the student's academic and social goals in collaboration with the classroom teacher; <p>? Observe, monitor and assess each child's development; <p>? Support a team approach to home and school communications, forming positive relationships with children, parents and teachers; <p>? Work as a team to ensure ordered arrangement, appearance, and decor of the learning environment; <p>? Provide supervision of JK and/or SK students in and around the school; <p>? Maintain a healthy social, emotional learning environment; <p>? Possess the ability to communicate in a sensitive, courteous, confidential manner with children, parents, staff; <p>? Work in a flexible, professional and independent manner; <p>? Demonstrate confidentiality according to F.O.I.; <p>? Attend regular staff meetings and other professional development opportunities as required; <p>? Observe health, fire and safety regulations; <p>? Have the ability to stand/walk for extended periods and move/carry equipment for programs; <p>? Can physically assist children as required (i.e. lifting); <p>? Possess basic computer skills; <p>?
