We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Windshield Replacement and Repair Technician to join our team.As a Windshield Replacement and Repair Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and replacement of automotive glass, including windshields, side windows, and rear windows. Your role is crucial in maintaining the safety and structural integrity of our customers' vehicles. You will work both in-shop and on-site, providing mobile services to our clients. Responsibilities: - Inspect windshields and other automotive glass to determine the extent of damage.- Repair chips and cracks using specialized tools and techniques.- Remove and replace damaged windshields and other glass components.- Ensure proper fit and secure installation of new glass.- Clean and prepare glass surfaces for installation.- Apply primer and adhesive systems according to manufacturer specifications.- Provide excellent customer service by explaining the work performed and answering any questions.- Maintain a clean and organized work area.- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in auto glass technology.Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent.- Certification from a recognized auto glass technician training program preferred.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto glass repair and replacement.- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.- Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures is a plus.- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.- Excellent problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.- Strong communication and customer service skills.- Ability to lift and carry heavy glass and equipment.Why Steele Auto?
