Job Summary:
The Octane Medical Group has a development and production focus in the field of regenerative medicine. The Engineering Manager will lead a high performing, cross-disciplinary team with the goal of driving innovation of personalized regenerative medicine for the future of medical care. The successful candidate will be expected to critically analyze design and production processes to be able to determine and implement effective solutions to improve the products.
Duties:
- Lead and manage the cross-disciplinary engineering team
- Collaborate with all departments to allocate resources appropriately
- Communicate with staff members and members of the management team to ensure clear understanding of upcoming projects and goals
- Determine issues within design and production processes in order to determine and implement creative and effective solutions
- Analyze effectiveness of current manufacturing processes in order to identify areas for innovation to reduce cost and increase efficiency
- Write and revise technical documents including SOPs, test protocols, and reports
Skills:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong project and people management/leadership skills
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Independent work skills; strong work ethic
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
Experience in qualification and validation of processes, as well as experience in the medical device or other healthcare field are considered assets.
Education & Experience:
Engineering degree from a relevant discipline.
4-6 years industrial work experience with proven people management & leadership skills, as well as a proven track record on project delivery.
Preferred Training/Certification:
Professional Engineer Certification
