*Job Overview*
We are a small/medium Chartered Professional Accounting firm with offices in Duncan and Ladysmith, BC. We are looking for an office administrator to help us service our clients in our Duncan office. The role will start part time and transition to full time in the near future.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Duncan office. While working closely with the Ladysmith office, the ideal candidate will support the firm through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask and prioritize work, and have a positive attitude. Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm and with paid over time as needed.
*Responsibilities*
* Answer and direct phone calls
* Organize and schedule appointments
* Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
* Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled financial packages
* Provide ongoing software support to staff when needed
* Maintain and organize accounts receivable
* Manage the front desk by greeting visitors and answering incoming calls
* Perform clerical tasks such as filing and data entry.
* Coordinate office activities and staff events
* Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
*Skills*
* Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
* Strong knowledge of computers and the ability to work within multiple software platforms
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in MS Office
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
