Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Mineral ore and metals processing plant. Tasks: Complete inspection and test reports. Inspect products at various stages of processing to ensure adherence to specifications. Advise supervisor or central control operator and process and machine operators of problems and product deficiencies. Grade and label raw materials or finished products. Take samples of products during or after processing operation for routine analysis or for subsequent laboratory analysis. Test products for strength, density, durability and conformity to specifications. Aviation special processes: Heat treatment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability.
