Tasks: Assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses. Analyze data and prepare reports. Conduct environmental monitoring and compliance activities for the protection of wildlife and other natural resources. Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Ensure that procedures are conducted in accordance with laws and regulations. Develop storyline and theme of displays and exhibitions. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Assist in the selection, evaluation and professional development of personnel. Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures. Ensure that proper procedures are followed in the use of computerized document management systems. Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers. Handling animals. Interpret scripts. Collect samples from animals. Technical experience: Animal care and field studies work. Fresh water ecosystem. Marine ecosystem. Plant breeding. Area of work experience: Basic research. Data analysis and interpretation. Education or teaching. Government regulations control.
