Job details
The Amisk Community School requires a Land Based Instructor for the 2024-2025 academic year. <p>Duties will include: Manage the delivery and planning of meaningful land-based activities for students K- Grade 12<p> Maintain an effective learning environment for student's learning<p> Knowledge of Cree culture/teachings and inclusion of Elders in providing land-based education<p> Experience with managing the development of lesson plans on all aspects of the Cree culture which will include native plants, wildlife habitat, environmental leadership, singing, drumming, Pow Wows, feasts, regalia making, setting up camps, storytelling, and other related duties<p> Attending land-based meetings<p> Participating in harvest, fall and spring land-based camps<p>Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree or related training/experience will be considered<p> Knowledge and experience in land-based activities<p> Cree language is a definite asset<p> Class 5 Alberta Driver's License<p> Clean Criminal Record & Child Welfare Checks<p>Application Deadline: Friday September 13, 2024<p>Submit Cover Letter & Resume to: Elaine Boucher, Principal, Amisk Community School<p> elaine.boucher@tcef.ca
