Responsibilities
Tasks
-
Co-ordinate work activities with other departments

Establish methods to meet work schedules

Prepare production and other reports

Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions

Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

Set up machines and equipment

Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers

Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies

Operate large automatic multi-needle machines to embroider or to sew lengths of several layers of material

Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery

Clean and make minor repairs to machines and equipment

Prepare and co-ordinate the production and submission of summary briefs and reports

Prepare detailed drawings, charts and plans and survey notes and reports

Co-ordinate and supervise production crew such as machine and process operators, tenders, assistants and helpers
