Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Child care centre. Tasks: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts. Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings. Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Experience: Experience an asset. Health benefits: Dental plan. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Support for Indigenous people: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers .
