*Job overview*
We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Hygienist to join our orthodontic team (4-5 days a week). We work with self-ligating braces, direct and indirect bonding, Invisalign, and LightForce custom braces. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality orthodontic care to patients, assisting the orthodontist, and ensuring a positive patient experience. We can provide some training for the right candidate. Available to start immediately.
*Duties*
- Perform orthodontic procedures under the supervision of the orthodontist.
- Clinical duties including bonding brackets, repositioning and repairing, changing arch wires, debonding brackets and attachments, removes excess cement, retainer insertions, retainer/appliance adjustments, cements bands and bond attachments.
- Assist in patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans and appointment notes
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide support in clinical office duties as needed
*Qualifications*
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program in Ontario.
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within Ontario, in good standing
- Proficiency in dental assisting, medical terminology, and orthodontics
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Current CPR and First Aid training
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental environment
- Great time management and organizational skills
- Experience in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, or bilingual proficiency is advantageous
- Familiarity with Ortho Edge 2 software is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 ? 30 per week

Experience:
* Orthodontics: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Registered Dental Hygienist in Ontario (required)
* HARP Certified (preferred)
