Secondary School Credit Occasional Teachers <p>St. Louis Adult Learning & Continuing Education <p>Posting Number: AC-2024-33 The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 38,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.<p>The Board conducts intentional recruitment and selection as it seeks to achieve a state of greater equity for employees and students and to diversify its workforce.<p>All qualified applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply and applicants may choose to indicate if they are from a group who has experienced racial or social discrimination. Aggregate data will be stored anonymously to support improvements to the Boards hiring processes.<p>Applications for the below teaching positions at St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres are invited from all qualified and interested applicants. Occasional Teacher(s) will be responsible to the Principal of St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres to teach the day school course offerings at St. Louis. Occasional work may be single or multi-day assignments. Term positions will be first offered to seniority members. Any unfilled positions will be posted to Occasional Teachers. <p>Potential Courses: <p> English<p> Native Studies<p> Mathematics<p> Sciences<p> Social Sciences and the Humanities <p> Business Studies<p> Canadian and World Studies<p> Guidance and Career Education<p> International Languages General Description of Duties: Follow lesson plans and deliver curriculum to students<p> Use a variety of instructional strategies<p> Evaluate student progress and provide ongoing feedback to students<p> At the end of the day, provide a summary report to the teacher<p> Teaching a compressed schedule in core subjects <p>Minimum Requirements: Hold a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification <p> Have senior qualifications in the subject area Desirable Assets: Previous teaching experience <p>Salary Level: $40.84 per hour, plus Stat and Vacation PayHours of Work :As needed <p> Program Hours are Monday-Friday<p>8:45am- 11:45 am and/or 12:30pm- 3:30pm<p> Program Start Date: September 4, 2024Location: Main Campus 80 Young St, KitchenerQualified applicants are invited to submit a resume and covering letter.
