Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dangerous. Odours. At heights. Noisy. Outdoors. All weather conditions. Work setting: Construction company. Various locations. Tasks: Build models. Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Plan the incorporation of landscape structures. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Survey and assess designated sites. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Assess the health of lawns. Plant and move trees. Landscaping experience: Residential projects. Commercial and/or industrial construction. Institutional construction. Restoration and preservation projects. Construction specialization: Automated irrigation system. Fieldstone paths. Interlocking brick. Ornamental ponds, fountains and waterfalls. Poured concrete. Retaining walls. Rock gardens.
