Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Community or retail pharmacy. Hospital or clinical pharmacy. Tasks: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies. Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication. Check prescriptions for proper dosage. Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients. Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs. Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products . Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff. Leading/instructing individuals. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Work under pressure.
