Job details
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Dentistry (DDS, DMD). Work setting: Private practice. Tasks: Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue. Hire and train staff. Plan dental health treatment. Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth. Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments. Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances. Write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for use by denturists and dental technicians. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification. Type of operation: Extraction.
