Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices . Replace or repair electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. Instruct apprentices. Maintain inventory of stored material. Interpret electrical code specifications. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Electrician Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Organized. Team player.
